Lake George

One Saturday, we spent the day out at Lake George for some fun in the sun...and water. Aunt Paula had rented a site for the day, so we went out on the boat, swam, went tubing, went on the jet ski, and grilled. It was a beautiful and fun day. My camera and I took advantage of the surroundings. Take a look:

I heart trees. Maybe it's because I haven't really been around them in while, but I really enjoyed walking through the woods and seeing all the different types of hearty trees. I liked seeing the sun light shining through at different points of the day. It reminds me of camping when I was little. I remember being told when I was younger (maybe by my Poppie) not to peel the birch trees because if anyone was ever lost in the woods, they could quickly set the bark on fire to send a signal for help. Thinking about that now, it doesn't sound like such a great idea, ya know, with Forest fires being a huge problem and all. But nonetheless, that's what I think of whenever I see a birch tree:

I think I might do a little tree motif for my wall. A mixture of photos and paintings. There is this one tree on Kadena that must be my favorite tree in Okinawa. I Keep saying I'm going to take a picture of it, because it just looks so cool.

Ok, enough trees, back to people. Here is Olivia and Grandma:

Right now Olivia is thinking, "You want me to swim in that? Where is my crystal clear ocean...?"

"Well, ok, I mean I won't pass up a chance to swim!"

Here is Daddy and Aunt Paula going out on the Jet ski. We all had turns on it, well, except Olivia. And we also went tubing off the back of the jet ski. And I didn't fall off at all...no thanks to Michael, who encouraged me to let go. Mommy and Daddy were quite sore the next day from all the rough play:

Oh never mind, she pulled out the mean face on me, "stop taking pictures of me in this silly vest, Mom!"

She couldn't hold out anymore. Too much fun for one little baby. And the rumble of the boat took her over the edge. She was passed out!

Aunt Bonnie's House

While we were home we went up to Mariaville to visit Aunt Bonnie, Uncle Chuck, Robert, Cody, Joy, Grandma, and the animals. Here are some pictures from our trips up there.

Since family missed her real birthday, Aunt Bonnie had some cake and ice cream available to create a re-enactment - complete with presents:

You would think that this is one of their strollers, but no, it belongs to one of the dogs. Olivia loved pushing it around and Izzie enjoyed the ride:

On our second trip up there, Mike joined the "kids" for some four-wheeling in the woods. Look at him go, he looks very excited! Notice how clean he is here:

I really wanted to catch a sunset while we were up there. She gets some of the prettiest sunsets on the lake. I was hoping for a good one that day, and I wasn't let down:

Later we waited around for Mike to come back from the woods adventure, hoping he didn't get lost (just kidding). Here is Olivia with her Nana and my Grandma (Olivia's great-grandma- my mom's mom):

Ahh, and now he returns! Looks like he had fun...not too dirty. But he did have to jump in the lake to wash off:

Giants Training Camp

The Giants hold their summer training camp at SUNY in Albany. Since we were there at the same time, we decided to go and check it out. And maybe get a couple autographs too. So, Mike, Olivia, and Joe all headed to SUNY. And once we parked, we realized we had no pens or markers to try to get the players to sign with. So we loaded back into the car and tried to get some at a gas station. They didn't have markers, just pens. So we ended buying markers at SUNY, but at least they said NY Giants! The players didn't have time to sign anything on their way out to the field, and then we ended up standing on the wrong side for them to come back inside, so we didn't get any autographs. But we did see lots of players and had lots of fun!
