What's New?

What's new with us? Well, lets see... As you can probably tell we haven't gone sight-seeing in a few weeks. (Although we did go to our first Japanese Baseball game, I'll post pictures of that another time.) Mike has been taking piano lessons. He is on his second month now, and really enjoys it! Olivia and I like to listen to him practice. He even learned "Happy Birthday" for my birthday and is learning "My Girl," because that is one of the songs I sing to Olivia. I didn't take an art class last month, and I am not taking one this month. But I hope to take a photography class next month because Mike bought me a fancy-smancy camera for my birthday!! Now I can take better pictures of Olivia and all the beautiful places we visit. Other than that, we are just chasing Olivia around the house. She is pretty quick! No walking yet, but I'm sure it isn't far off. Here are some pictures of her that I took testing out the new camera.

Silly Girl:

And the mean face, it comes pretty often these days:

Eating her blocks, notice the two bruises on her face? She took a few tumbles:

I wanted to take a picture of her and her name spelled out. It was a little difficult keeping a certain someones small fingers away from the blocks:

The best one I got. I like that her name is in focus, and she isn't:

Standing up, getting toys out of the toy box, and trying to see what's on TV at the same time:

A couple weeks ago, I took her to the beach for some pictures. This was her first time actually sitting in the sand alone. She wasn't sure about it at first, but then tried to eat it. So most of the time I was saying, "No, no!" "Yucky." "That's Ca-ca." "Stop!" But she still had fun, and the people at the beach had fun laughing at us!

I don't know about that face. She might be up to something:

She is thinking "I could definitely be a beach bum!"

"Just not sure about this sand stuff."

Showing Mommy the sand in her hands:

Over on the pillars, watching the sunset:

And here we are playing in the back yard. She loves that ball! She knows how to throw it (although sometimes she accidentally throws it behind her) and after she throws it, she goes after it and picks it up and throws it again. It is her own little game of fetch. It keeps her occupied, which is nice. But the down side is that she thinks everything is a ball. So the remote, her bottle, the coasters, etc. all get thrown around like a ball. And at Alligator Steps, Olivia doesn't really know not to throw the balls at the other babies...we are working on that one. :)
So, here we are outside:

Being cute:

Even Cuter- I think I might use this one as her 9 month picture. So, who wants one?

Holding that ball:

"If you're Happy and you know it, Clap your hands..."
