I'm ready

Tomorrow starts the day. The first day of the rest of my life - or however that saying goes. It's the first day of my Body by You Boot Camp. Did I mention I'm doing this on the marine base? Yikes. I'm scared and excited at the same time. Ok maybe more scared than excited.
But, I'm ready nonetheless. The trainer said (jokingly) if we have sneakers older than 3 years we needed to buy new running shoes - then she laughed and said "I know no one has sneakers that old, haha!" At the same time I looked down and tried to do the math on my sneakers' age...umm before Olivia was even thought of - so 4 or 5 years old maybe? Kelly might remember, you were with us when I told Mike I needed sneakers to work out in. You can now see how that went. So anyway - I'm ready. I went out and got some new running shoes (white and blue), I got some weights - 5lbs (blue to match my shoes), a few work out outfits - but nothing too matching - don't want to look like I'm trying too hard, oddly I already had lifting gloves (I won them a few months back), and I already had yoga mat (from the box of pilates that I never opened - so brand new!). So, yes, I'm ready. I am looking at this as a lifestyle change. We eat out way too much. Always have. So, more eating at home. Make that more healthy eating at home. We went to the store and spent $$ on fresh food. I did something I've never done. I made dinners ahead of time. I spent Sunday cooking Sunday's dinner and also Monday's and wednesday's. I even made up little snacks for the week. And made my lunch for tomorrow. I can count on one hand the amount of times I brought my lunch from home since I started back to work. But I'm putting in the effort, because the trainer said diet is worth 80% or something like that. I know I can do that part. Remember when I was preggo and couldn't do carbs? I did it. And I lost weight, even pregnant. So I know I can do it again. It's just a little harder because it is just me and no baby depending on me. I even have my workout playlist ready, though I don't know of I'll use it at camp.
So enough about me. Everyone else is good too. Mike is excited I'm on "board" with being healthy. And Olivia had an awesome weekend. She went to a Bday party for a girl in her class at school and I think she had a lot of fun. Then we enjoyed dinner out ( of course) at Jack's- my favorite place on base. It was Tom's Bday so we hung out there after and had a great time. Today daddy and Olivia set up her fish tank. Now all she needs is fish. She's pretty excited about it and we'll go sometime this week to buy some fish. By the way, have I told you she goes to sleep on her own (knock on wood). Yep, it's so nice and a big relief from before. We read a could stories and the lights out and she falls asleep on her own, like a big girl.
I do have a video to share with you, but have to figure out how to get it on here from my iTouch, so you'll have to be patient.
In the meantime here are some pics from our week.
At kiddie disco - she got a pink sword and balloon bracelet. Notice that when she wears a bracelet and long-sleeves, she has to roll up her sleeve to show off the bling. Every time.

In the car:

Loving the pink cupcake she got at the party:

She loved it:

Ok better get some sleep for tomorrow!
