NY State Museum

One of the last things we did in NY, was visit the state museum in Albany. Since 9/11 they have put up a huge exhibit, honoring the heroes and remembering that day. It was very sad, walking through, seeing a fire truck that was destroyed by a blast. Seeing recovered articles, like emergency worker jackets, badges, police car doors, parts of the towers interior walls. There was a fire extinguisher that was identified as being from one of the top floors, they noted that the fire extinguisher had been used prior to recovery. They did a good job with the exhibit. I didn't take any pictures. It didn't seem right.

On another note, the museum had a small Sesame Street display up. You can guess which one of us enjoyed that!
