Off to the Races

We were able to go up to Saratoga Race Track on Opening Day. It was the first time we had been to the track for actual races, well, the fist time since we could legally place bets. And of course it was Olivia's fist time all together...and we found out she LOVES horses. She was amazed at those big animals walking all around. And she liked the noises they made with their lips. So now she copies that, and when you ask her what a horsie says, that's what she does...

Then you look at the magazine to decide which horse you want to bet (my scientific method for this was whichever name I liked best)...

Excited to see what the payout is...It really wasn't that much...they are just excited because they bet on a long shot (50:1) and it won:

We had so much fun at opening day, that we went back again. This time we had better weather and hung out outside for a little bit. And we met this horse that was walking around talking to the kids. We tried to get a photo opp, but Olivia wanted nothing to do with this odd looking horse that kept trying to touch her:
